PSG accept world-record €300m bid for Kylian Mbappe from Saudi club Al-Hilal; Reports

The PSG hierarchy were left shocked when Kylian Mbappe refused to sign a 12-month contract extension, allowing him to leave the Ligue 1 club as a free agent following the 2023-24 season. The 24-year-old must agree to an extension on July 1, since his contract expires in 2024. Mbappe also recently informed the board of his intention to leave as a free agent after next season.

Mbappe joined PSG on loan from Monaco in 2017 and his transfer was made permanent a year later in a deal of 145 million euros plus 35 million euros in add-ons. Real Madrid has been considered the most possible destination for the Frenchman. The La Liga giants are the top contenders to si; gn him and are believed to have already reached an agreement with the attacker. PSG, on the other hand, does not want their star forward to leave for free and is working hard to sell him during the current transfer window.

PSG have reportedly accepted a 300 million euro deal from Saudi Arabian club Al-Hilal for Mbappe. If Mbappe accepts to join the Saudi Pro League, he could earn a whopping 700 million euros per year before joining Real Madrid next summer.

PSG has been trying to convince Mbappe to sign an extension or new contract. According to reports, the French club offered the star a 10-year contract for 1 billion euros. The club also informed the attacker that if he does not agree to the new contract,  then he should leave in the current summer transfer window.
