PSG drops Kylian Mbappe from Asian pre-season tour squad as he refuses the club’s one Billion Euro contract; Reports

Paris Saint-Germain put Kylian Mbappe on the market after the French star turned down a contract extension with the Ligue 1 club. Mbappe was also left out of the team for a pre-season tour of Japan, casting further doubt on the star striker’s future.

PSG did not officially explain Mbappe’s absence, but according to reports, the France star rejected to sign a 10-year, one-billion-euro contract. The agreement, probably one of the most expensive, would have kept Mbappe with PSG until the age of 34, almost making it a lifetime contract.

As per reports in France, PSG has decided to sell Mbappe during the current window.

Mbappe stated in May that he wasn’t going to extend his PSG contract, which ends the next year, but that he did want to stay for another year.

“I still have a year left on my contract and I am going to honour my contract,” he said.

Mbappe has been taking part in the club’s pre-season preparations and scored a goal in PSG’s training-ground friendly against Le Havre on Friday.

On July 25, they start their Asian tour against Cristiano Ronaldo’s side Al Nassr of Saudi Arabia in Osaka. PSG will then play Cerezo Osaka in Osaka and Inter Milan in Tokyo before completing the tour on August 3 in Busan, South Korea, against Jeonbuk Motors.
