Jeethu Joseph’s Malayalam flick Drishyam 3 is doing incredibly well at the box office. The family crime thriller made an additional Rs. 9 crore after starting with Rs. 11 crore. On Day 2, it showed a decrease of about 18% from the first day.
Drishyam 3’s total cost is currently Rs. 20 crore. With an aim on double-digit numbers, the Mohanlal film is anticipated to witness a strong jump on Saturday and Sunday based on current patterns. Nevertheless, the film has a good chance of earning between Rs. 40 and Rs. 45 crore at the Kerala box office during its four-day opening weekend.
The film still has enough meat for the family and its cult audiences, despite receiving mixed reviews. It will be intriguing to observe, though, if Drishyam 3 can surpass word-of-mouth and yet produce a successful film. That will be largely dependent on how well the movie does during the week.
Without a question, one of the greatest bets on Malayalam film this year is Drishyam 3. Lockdown prevented the second installment from being released in theaters, but the first movie was an industry hit. But the most recent installment is there to satisfy the needs of its devoted fan base. As a result, the film has a great chance of competing with the highest grossing films both domestically and internationally, including Vaazha 2, Lokah Chapter One-Chandra, Thudarum, and others.
