SBI Cards and Payment Services (SBI Card) on Saturday said Rama Mohan Rao Amara has assumed responsibility as the new MD and CEO of the organization. He will take charge of his new position from January 30, 2021, for 2 years.
Amara took over the position from Ashwini Kumar Tewari, SBI Card said in a release.
He started with SBI in 1991 as the Deputy General Manager and maintained the position for 24 years. He is skilled in the field of credit, risk management, capital adequacy tracking & management, and assets liability management.
Amara has been the CEO of SBI branches in Chicago and California. He was also the CGM of SBI banks in Mumbai and Madhya Pradesh.
