Rhea Chakraborty to play Draupadi in a film inspired by Mahabharata

Rhea Chakraborty is in talks for playing the role of Draupadi in a film inspired by Mahabharata which is set in both the modern and contemporary world.

2020 has been a downward spiral for actress Rhea Chakraborty with several controversies and allegations making rounds, but 2021 seems to be looking up for the actress at least on the work front.

Rhea was last seen in the movie “Jalebi” and has been anticipating her upcoming movie “Chehre” in which she is cast alongside Amitabh Bachchan, Emraan Hashmi, Annu Kapoor and Krystle Dsouza amongst others.

Reportedly, the “Mere Dad Ki Maruti” Actress, Rhea has been offered another movie that is inspired by the Mahabharata. Rhea has been offered the role of Draupadi. The film is supposedly unlike every other Mahabharata movie, it shows a contemporary as well as a modern side to the story.

The project is said to be massive with a unique and different take on the Mahabharata.

According to the Times of India, the actress is in talks with the makers of the film to play the role of Draupadi in this huge project.

Of late, the actress has been seen posting motivational and inspirational quotes on Instagram to stay afloat amidst the trying times in her life. In one of her posts, she has written “From great suffering, comes great strength. You’ll have to trust me on this one. Hang in there”
