Samsung Electronics announced today that it has been recognized with two gold and two silver awards at the esteemed Edison Awards 2026. The awards ceremony took place on April 15-16 in Fort Myers, Florida. Samsung’s winning innovations include the Smart Modular House, Vision AI Companion, Spatial Signage, and the Bespoke AI Laundry Combo, all celebrated for their advanced technological features.

The Edison Awards, established in 1987 by the American Marketing Association and named after the famous inventor Thomas Edison, honor excellence in product and service development, marketing, and human-centered design. Winners are chosen by a panel of industry experts, scientists, and academics who evaluate entries based on strict innovation criteria. This year, the awards were distributed across 14 categories, with winning projects receiving gold, silver, or bronze distinctions.

Smart Modular House: This innovation uses AI-based architectural solutions to enable homes to respond, adapt, and adjust to the lifestyles of their users. Vision AI Companion (VAC): This groundbreaking TV experience changes the way users interact with content. Featuring a generative AI-based button, users can engage with content by asking about plotlines or characters, searching for related information, or controlling playback through voice commands. By removing the need for complex menus and remotes, VAC provides a seamless and intuitive TV viewing experience.

Spatial Signage: This innovation offers a glasses-free 3D display for an immersive experience, powered by Samsung’s patented 3D Plate technology. With a slim profile of just 52 mm, this innovative solution integrates effortlessly into commercial environments like retail stores, exhibitions, and entertainment venues, redefining audience engagement with digital signage. Its advanced optics and precision engineering set new standards for next-generation displays.
Bespoke AI Laundry Combo: This all-in-one unit combines washing and drying functions into a compact design. It completes the entire laundry process, from load detection to drying, ensuring efficient operation. Featuring a 7-inch Smart Screen for an intuitive interface, its AI Wash & Dry cycle adjusts its performance based on fabric types and soil levels, achieving optimal results.
