Scarlett Johansson talks about her possible return as Black Widow: “It would be a miracle”

Scarlett Johansson’s role as Black Widow in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was outstanding. She first appeared as the famous character in Iron Man 2 and was a part of the Avengers team until her exit in Avengers: Endgame. The actress has never looked back on the Marvel franchise, with her last movie as Black Widow being a solo film.

Fans, however, have been waiting to see her repeat the role and the multiverse concept that is the core of Marvel’s current phase has the potential to allow for such fan service as well. But is Scarlett Johansson eager to return to the Marvel again?

In a new interaction with TODAY, Scarlett was asked about her possible return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and whether or not she would play Black Widow again.

The actress is unsure of such a return happening today as she feels she has left the role far behind her and it would be a real miracle for her to return as Black Widow after the character died in Avengers: Endgame. She said, “It would be a miracle. It would be a real Marvel miracle. It would be a marvel. But who knows?”

Scarlett’s chances of repeating her role as Black Widow may be slim, although she might play another behind-the-scenes role in the franchise.
