Brazilian legend Roberto Carlos has a senior role at the Spanish giant club Real Madrid. He believes that Florentino Perez, the president of the club will discuss the contract extension to Sergio Ramos.
Captain Ramos contract is about to expire on June 30. There were rumours about the player that he might leave the club. He had turned down the club’s proposal of contract renewal consistently which tumbled down his relationship with the president that none of them seemed to discuss the situation.
After months of holding out, Spaniard now is ready to renew his contract with the club and is waiting for Perez to call him. In an interview with Onze Mondial, Roberto Carlos told that the player is currently recovering from an injury and there will be a discussion about the situation between the president and the player. “I am very sure that there will be a discussion between Sergio and president about the contract. Ramos is the face of the club. He is a great player and we will see what happens to reach the agreement.”
He also talked about Kylian Mbappe, PSG forward who has been continuously linked with the Whites. “I am a big fan of Mbappe. I am very grateful to him for putting me in his historic eleven as a left-back. He is a very important player and there is a lot of talks about him to join Madrid but he has a contract with PSG”, said Carlos.
Carlos told that Real Madrid doesn’t force players who have a contract with other clubs, the club will wait for Mbappe’s will when his contract ends. He is also very happy that finally, Florentino and Mr 92:48 will talk about the contract agreement.
