On Monday, the makers of Singham Again released the trailer for the mass entertainer, which stars Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor, and Ranveer Singh.
The trailer is the longest of any Hindi film, running 4 minutes and 58 seconds. It was unveiled during a gala occasion at Mumbai’s Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC). While Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, and Ranveer Singh return as Bajirao Singham, Veer Sooryavanshi, and Simmba, respectively, the video also introduces us to two new characters in Rohit Shetty’s cop universe: Deepika Padukone as cop Shakti Shetty and Tiger Shroff as ACP Satya.
Rohit Shetty wrote the screenplay for Singham Again based on the Hindu epic Ramayana. The film’s primary idea revolves around Kareena, who plays Bajirao Singham’s wife, Avni, being kidnapped by Arjun Kapoor, who appears fierce in his Raavan avatar, or as Jackie Shroff rightly calls him, he is ‘aag ka toofan.’
In his journey to save his wife, Avni, Ajay Devgn joins forces with an extraordinary collection of allies. Deepika Padukone takes on the role of Lady Singham, bringing a fiery energy and strength to face any challenge that may arise.
Inspector Sangram Bhalerao, often known as ‘Simmba,’ played by Ranveer Singh, adds to the situation with his charisma and swagger. Akshay Kumar returns as the dependable Veer Sooryvanshi, bringing his experience and savvy to the table, while Tiger Shroff impresses as ACP Satya, injecting agility and bravery.
Singham Again was originally slated for an Independence Day release, but was postponed. It will now release on Diwali i.e., November 1, 2024.
