Sourav Ganguly’s car meets with accident on Durgapur Expressway, escapes unhurt

Former Indian cricket captain and ex-BCCI president Sourav Ganguly’s car met with an accident on the Durgapur Expressway near Dantanpur while he was en route to Bardhaman for an event. Reports indicate that his vehicle sustained some damage due to the incident, which occurred amidst heavy rainfall in the area.

According to sources, Ganguly’s Range Rover was moving at a controlled speed when a lorry approaching from the opposite direction collided with his car, causing it to momentarily lose control. However, the driver acted swiftly, regaining control and applying the brakes to prevent a more severe crash. Despite the quick response, the abrupt halt led to a chain reaction, with multiple vehicles behind colliding into one another. One of these vehicles also crashed into Ganguly’s car.

Fortunately, no one sustained serious injuries in the accident. Ganguly, after ensuring that the situation was under control, waited by the roadside for some time before resuming his journey to attend the scheduled event. Reports confirm that he is safe and unharmed, and no further medical attention was required.
