Bollywood late actor Sushant Singh Rajput close ally Siddharth Pithani has been granted bail for his marriage. Pithani was under judicial custody in association with the Bollywood drug case. ETimes quoted Siddharth Pithani’s lawyer Tareq Sayyed statement as, “He has been granted bail on humanitarian grounds and will have surrender back on July 2”.
Pithani is charged by NCB for providing and consuming contraband in a case connected to Sushant Singh Rajput’s casualty. Siddharth Pithani has strived bail on the grounds of equality. Attorney Tarak Sayyad represented Siddharth Pithani.
A special Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) court in Mumbai on Friday consulted Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) to file a response by June 16 on the bail petition filed by actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s flatmate Siddharth Pithani in connection with the drug case linked to the actor’s death.
Pithani in his request insisted that according to the Supreme Court order last year testimonies of witnesses against him, in this case, don’t have evidentiary value so they can’t be relied on as evidence.
On May 26, the NCB Mumbai unit charged Sushant Singh Rajput’s flatmate Siddharth Pithani from Hyderabad and brought him to Mumbai on a transition warrant received from a local court there. Pithani was reserved under multiple sections of the NDPS Act, 1985.
