Veteran actor Sudhir Pandey has addressed the online speculation surrounding a viral video from the trailer launch of Ginny Weds Sunny 2. The clip, which circulated widely on social media, led to claims that the actor had walked off stage after allegedly being sidelined during the event.
However, speaking to HT City, Pandey dismissed the narrative, clarifying that there was no instance of disrespect. He explained that he was present throughout the event, initially seated in the front row before joining the team on stage during the official announcement.
The actor revealed that his early exit was due to professional commitments rather than any discomfort. He shared that he had taken time out from an ongoing shoot to attend the launch and had already informed the production team about his tight schedule. According to him, the moment captured in the viral clip showed him leaving to return to his shoot after receiving multiple reminders.
Despite the misunderstanding, Pandey emphasised his enthusiasm for the project, stating that he plays a significant role in the film and made a conscious effort to attend the event.The incident has also renewed focus on his long-standing career, which spans nearly five decades. Known for shows like Buniyaad and films such as Toilet: Ek Prem Katha and Tees Maar Khan, Pandey credited his longevity to consistency and sincerity. He added that the public reaction to the video reminded him that his work continues to resonate with audiences.
