Taylor Swift donates $100K to GoFundMe for family of woman killed at Chiefs victory parade

Taylor Swift donated $100,000 to the family of the lady killed in the shooting at the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory parade. The singer donated $50,000 twice on Friday, February 16 to Lisa Lopez-Galvan’s GoFundMe page. 21 people were injured in the terrifying incident that happened on Wednesday toward the end of the parade, 11 of them were children.

As she made the donation, the Blank Space singer wrote in the page’s Words of Support section, “Sending my deepest sympathies and condolences in the wake of your devastating loss. With love, Taylor Swift.” After her donation, Lisa’s GoFundMe has so far raised $194,798 of the $75,000 amount.

Lisa was a radio DJ and was 43 years old when she passed away. “An amazing mother, wife, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to so many.” is how her page describes her. The fundraiser added, “She is survived by two children and her husband of 22 years.”

At first, it was stated that Lisa died from her gunshot wound while having abdominal surgery. But later as per Variety, it was confirmed that she passed away at the scene. The source also states that one of the people shot and injured at the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl victory rally was her twenty-year-old son, Marc Lopez-Galvan. He was discharged from the hospital earlier today.
