The California-based electric car bigwig Tesla is launching in India soon and is on the search and has started filling leadership positions and senior-level roles. The avant-garde of electric cars is now getting set to get the ball rolling into one of the world’s largest emerging car markets.
The positions that are open to being filled are head of sales and marketing and head of human resources. As of now, it is known that the company has recruited a legal counsel.
Even though Elon Musk, the chief executive officer of Tesla has not been transparent about the entry of Tesla into the Indian market, Tesla will certainly enter India soon.
Everyone is eagerly awaiting an announcement from the Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi’s government concerning the country’s goods and sales tax which is speculated to reduce the cost of owning an electric car.
As per the PLI, as it’s called, manufacturing and production considerations will increase each year in an open-ended effort to lure the world’s biggest brands and labels to manufacture their products in India and to later export to the world. In the previous month, India’s cabinet also granted a 181 billion rupee ($2.5 billion) plan to boost battery storage capacity to 50 gigawatt-hours. These modifications might as well be the changes that are needed for an electric vehicle company such as Tesla to launch in India.
