The Argentine filmmaker who achieved wide recognition with the 2013 film Mama, Andy Muschietti, is directing the highly anticipated upcoming crossover DC movie The Flash, took to Instagram to reveal the first look at the costume of Supergirl. The film, which will feature Sasha Calle in the role of Supergirl, will be donning the costume that shares a deep resemblance with the Superman costume of the DC Movie, which is also worn by Henry Cavill playing Superman. Director Muschietti shared a picture of the logo on the costume’s front;

The film is anticipated to be based on the Flashpoint comics storyline, which is written by Geoff Johns and drawn by Andy Kubert. The storyline had Barry using his superspeed powers to travel back in time in an attempt to undo the death of his mother, which results in certain unexpected consequences, leading to Barry waking up in a world that has changed on a fundamental level. With reports suggesting that the movie will have two different versions of Batman – one played by Michael Keaton and one version of Ben Affleck- the film is expected to concern itself with the possibilities of the multiverse in order to accommodate two different versions of the Caped Crusaders and possibly other DC characters as well.

Kiersey Clemons will be reprising his role as Iris West, which was previously seen in the movie Zack Snyder’s Justice League. Nora Allen, mother of Barry Allen will be portrayed by actor Maribel Verdú, and actor Ron Livingston has been roped in to play the role of father Henry Allen. The Flash movie has been scheduled to be released on November 4, 2022.
