Iconic Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar called on Indians to support the 120-member Indian Olympic delegation, taking part in the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, starting from July 23. As we shall see India’s biggest ever delegation participate in the world’s mega sporting event.
Master Blaster, who has scored 100 international centuries and has the most runs in international cricket, took to his social media and praised the determination and focused training undertaken by the Tokyo-bound Indian athletes.
“During the pandemic, all of us have faced challenges, including our athletes. They didn’t give up and continued with their preparation for the Olympics. I know they are gearing up to give their best performance in Tokyo Olympics,” said Sachin Tendulkar in a video message.
Former Indian cricketer shared his video message on Twitter with the caption:
“We all get goosebumps when we see the tricolour being represented! This Olympics, it shall be no different and we’ll all be cheering loudly from India as you make us proud.”
Former India cricket captain also stated in a video that: “There is millisecond’s difference between win and loss and for that they have been putting in hard work for years and at this moment they need our support and wishes. Let’s cheer for India,”
The Tokyo Olympics, which was scheduled to take place last year but had to be postponed by a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
