1. Debut on-screen
In the 1980 romantic film Manjil Virinja Pookkal, Mohanlal marked his screen debut. Thiranottam, however, was his first film, and he appeared in it when he was just 18 years old. Due to censorship issues, the film was not able to be screened for the next 25 years.
2. A professional wrestler
Mohanlal was a pro wrestler before entering the cinema, and he was having a decent run ‘on the track.’ He was picked for the National Championship in New Delhi after securing the state wrestling championship in 1977-78, but before he can even compete, he received a call for his first-ever movie audition.
3.Black belt in Taekwondo
The famous actor was awarded a “black belt” by the World Taekwondo Headquarters in South Korea in 2012. He is the very first South Indian personality to achieve the honour, and he is the third Indian celebrity to achieve it after Shah Rukh Khan and Lal Thanhawla.
Mohanlal’s presence is appreciated through different fields, not just acting. In 2014, he formed Lalison-The Lal Effect, a musical group. The band also played at the 2015 Indian National Games.

He is among the most prolific actors in the history of Indian cinema. Over the course of his 40-year career, Mohanlal has carved out a niche for himself that is unrivalled and will continue to be so for the next several decades.
