Veteran Raj Babbar: Everything has evolved so much better in our industry

Raj Babbar shared his opinions on the transitions that the Indian film fraternity has undergone in the recent years

After a sabbatical of 5 years, veteran a tie Raj Babbar will be soon seen in Habib Faisal’s ‘Dil Bekarar’. He will share the screen with Poonam Dhillon, Padmini Kolhapure, Sahher Bamba, Akshay Oberoi, Medha Shankar and Sukhmani Sadana.

Recently, while talking to a leading daily, Raj Babbar spoke about the way the film industry has evolved. As per a report in IANS, Raj said, “For actors in today’s era, the preparation for roles is more meticulous – there are workshops and readings. Rehearsals are more rigorous. There is more scope for various specialisations like costumes, lights, direction etc.”

He further compared the 80s and said, “In the 80s, our families on sets were relatively smaller and our rehearsals were not as detailed. It was not that era’s fault, but with time everything has evolved so much better and these changes were much needed; we have welcomed them happily.”

Raj Babbar is all praises for his co-stars Sahher Bambba and Akshay Oberoi. He said, “When I learnt that Sahher Bambba and Akshay Oberoi were a part of the series too, I was excited and looking forward to working with them. I already watched their previous work and the energy they bring to the table is impeccable. Every time Padmini Kolhapure enters the screen everyone only looks at her. She is a supremely talented actor and her performance will keep everyone hooked.”

Dil Bekarar tells the story of love and an intense ideological conflict put against the social, political and economical differences in Indian society.
