Virat Kohli and ABD join the sqaud ahead of their first match against MI in IPL 2021
Ahead of the first encounter against Mumbai Indians, RCB’s star batsman Virat Kohli and AB De Villiers have joined the squad and have started practicing. The whole team assembled in Chennai for the training session.
RCB’s star batsman Virat Kohli and AB De Villiers have completed their mandatory quarantine of 7 days and have finally joined the squad for the training session ahead of the first match against Mumbai. RCB has tweeted the same in their official Twitter handle. “Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers at RCB’s practice session Full squad training at Chepauk, and some pep talk from the experienced folks, catch what happened at yesterday’s practice session on @myntra presents Bold Diaries”.
Both Virat Kohli and ABD had joined the squad on April 01, 2021 and had to be under 7 days quarantine as per SOP released by the BCCI. SOP only excused those players who were part of the India- England series. BCCI’s SOP excused only those players who were part of the India- England series. They were allowed to move straight into the Bio Bubble created by the respective franchise. “Players coming directly from the bubble created for India versus England series, may be permitted to join the franchise squad without serving the mandatory quarantine period, provided they satisfy the following criteria, after the conclusion of India versus England series, the players are moved directly to the franchise team hotel either in the team bus or on a chartered flight,” the SOP stated. On the other hand, head coach Simon Katich was seen delivering a pep talk ahead of the match against Mumbai.
The 14th edition of IPL is starting from April 09, 2021 with RCB facing MI in a high voltage match in Chennai.
