The makers of Shahid Kapoor and Pooja Hegde’s Deva and Vicky Kaushal and Rashmika Mandanna’s Chhaava have officially announced new release dates for their much-anticipated films. Both movies will now be hitting theaters earlier than previously scheduled.
Deva, an action-thriller starring Shahid Kapoor and Pooja Hegde, was initially set to release on February 14, 2025, coinciding with Valentine’s Day. However, fans will now be able to catch the film earlier on January 31, 2025. Directed by Rosshan Andrrews, the film is currently in its post-production stage. Produced by Zee Studios and Roy Kapur Films, Deva also features Pavail Gulati in a key role.
Meanwhile, Vicky Kaushal’s mass entertainer Chhaava, which was slated for a February 19, 2025 release, will now hit the big screens on February 14, 2025. The move was made to avoid a clash with the celebrations of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Jayanti on February 19.
Directed by Laxman Utekar, the film stars Vicky as Maratha king Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, with Rashmika Mandanna portraying his wife, Maharani Yesubai. The film also features Suniel Shetty, Akshaye Khanna, and other prominent actors in pivotal roles.Both preponed releases are expected to excite moviegoers with action-packed performances and historical drama in the coming months.
