Air India cabin crew assaulted at a star London hotel; employees begin protest

A female Air India cabin crew member had been assaulted by a stranger at a London hotel previously in the week. The airline is working with local police to resolve the situation.

As per the sources, the incident occurred at a star hotel near London Heathrow Airport. According to authorities, the cabin employee has come back to India and is seeking counselling. After the event was reported, airline employees used the airline’s official internal communication channel to protest about safety concerns. One of them reported that hotel employees were absent at nighttime and that entry onto the premises was uncontrolled.

An Air India spokesperson quoted, “deeply anguished by an unlawful incident of intrusion at a hotel, operated by a major international chain, that affected one of our crew members.”

As she shouted, individuals nearby ran to her help and the culprit was captured, they said. One source said that the cabin crew had bee sexually mistreated within the hotel, while two others alleged that they were physically assaulted.
