Air India, originally started by Tata and then sold to the Indian Government is likely to come back home. Tata Sons might bid for the airlines before the given deadline, which is Monday. The transaction will go through after an auction where bidding will take place. Tata currently holds stake in two non-profit airlines which are Vistara and Air Asia. If Tata Sons bid for Air India, it will be the first time in two years that the government finds a suitor for the airlines.
