There has been another development in the turmoil surrounding Allu Arjun’s arrest in relation to a fan’s death at the Pushpa 2: The Rule launch. Revathi, the deceased woman’s husband, has recently stated that he is prepared to drop the complaint and does not blame Allu Arjun for the stampede or his wife’s passing.
Revathi’s husband, Bhaskar, told reporters in Hyderabad on Friday, hours after Allu Arjun was arrested. “We only went to Sandhya Theatre that day because my son wanted to watch the movie. It’s not Allu Arjun’s fault that he visited the theatre that day. I am ready to withdraw my case. Police didn’t inform me of his arrest, I watched it on the news at the hospital. He (Arjun) has nothing to do with stampede.”
Bhaskar’s complaint, incidentally, was the reason Allu Arjun was taken into custody. Allu Arjun was taken into jail by Hyderabad Police officers who visited his home in Jubilee Hills on Friday morning.
According to the authorities, he was taken to the police station to be questioned. Before appearing in court, the actor was subsequently brought to Osmania General Hospital for a medical evaluation. Fans flocked to the Sandhya Theatre at the crowded RTC Crossroads on the evening of December 4 to catch a glimpse of the actor, who had come to see his movie Pushpa 2: The Rule.
A situation akin to a stampede occurred, resulting in the death of one lady and the serious hospitalisation of her kid. On the basis of the deceased’s family’s complaint, police said that a case was filed against the actor, his security detail, and the theatre management at the Chikkadpally police station under sections 105 and 118(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Later on Friday, the High Court will consider Allu Arjun’s appeal to have the FIR dismissed.
