Allu Arjun Faces Backlash from MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi and MLC Venkat Balmoor over Stampede incident

After Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy criticized Allu Arjun over the Pushpa 2 premiere stampede incident, MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi and MLC Venkat Balmoor have also voiced their disapproval of the actor’s actions.

Speaking at the Telangana Assembly, MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi raised concerns over the tragic incident at Sandhya Theatre, questioning the lack of safety measures and accountability. He stated that the incident could have been avoided with proper planning and emphasized the need for stricter regulations at such public events.

Meanwhile, MLC Venkat Balmoor released a video on his X (formerly Twitter) account on Sunday, directly addressing Allu Arjun. In the video, Venkat accused the actor of failing to show empathy and support for the victim’s family. Referring to Arjun’s press conference on Saturday, Venkat said, “I had hoped it was out of repentance, but instead, you defended yourself while celebrating with firecrackers the day after the tragedy.”

Venkat further criticized Arjun’s claim of being unaware of the incident, pointing to video evidence showing his involvement in post-premiere celebrations. “You say you want to bring pride to the Telugu people, but at what cost? When a life is lost, accountability is necessary,” he remarked.

With growing criticism from political leaders, the Pushpa 2 stampede has sparked calls for stricter safety measures and greater accountability at public events.
