Producer Allu Aravind visited the hospitalised victim of the Pushpa 2: The Rule premiere tragedy, a young boy named Sri Tej, who has been recovering in critical condition since the December 4 incident. The stampede-like situation at Sandhya Theatre claimed the life of the boy’s mother and left him severely injured.
Speaking to the media after his visit on Wednesday, Aravind provided an update on Sri Tej’s health. “I visited Sri Tej in the ICU and spoke to the doctors treating him. He is recovering slowly, but it may take more time. We are ready to provide all the support needed for his full recovery,” he said. Aravind also expressed gratitude to the government and hospital authorities for their assistance.
Addressing concerns about his son, lead actor Allu Arjun, not visiting the hospitalised boy, Aravind explained that legal and safety constraints prevented the actor from doing so. “Many are questioning why Bunny (Arjun) hasn’t visited the boy. He wanted to visit the day after the incident, but the hospital authorities advised against it for safety reasons. Our legal team also recommended that he stay away due to the ongoing case,” Aravind clarified.
The tragedy occurred when fans rushed to see Arjun during his surprise visit to the theatre, resulting in overcrowding. While investigations continue, Arjun has expressed deep sorrow over the incident but remains restricted from direct involvement due to legal proceedings.
