Ananya Panday’s recent roles in Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, Call Me Bae, and CTRL have given her huge praise. However, recently her mother Bhavana Pandey, opens up about how she used to feel “hurt” when she saw her daughter being troled, but eventually she learnt to cope with it.
Bhavana Pandey recently spoke about her daughter Ananya Panday’s profession in an interview with Midday’s Sit With Hitlist series. At the age of eighteen, the actress debuted in 2019 with Student of the Year 2. Panday was trolled for a variety of reasons throughout that early stage of her career, and her performances were highly criticised by the public.
Bhavana said she used to feel hurt by the remarks made about her daughter, but she eventually learnt to turn the attention away from the unpleasant comments because celebrity and criticism are inevitable aspects of an actor’s life.
“I used to get very hurt. I used to think, how can they say these things? But I have developed a thick skin, and we tend to focus on the negative. Let’s be honest, there is a lot of love also she has got. People come up to me and tell me how much they love her and how much they love her work,” she adds.
Additionally, the mother of the actress also revealed that she and her husband, Chunky Panday, had witnessed both success and failure in their family. She therefore believes that humanity is important. She responded to the same question on Ananya by saying, “I’m very grateful she’s doing well, but at the same time, if you’re not a nice person, all that doing well goes out of the window.”
Regarding her career, Ananya Panday most recently worked with Vihaan Samat in Vikramaditya Motwane’s CTRL. She is currently working for her film Shankara, which also stars with R. Madhavan and Akshay Kumar.
