Actor Ranveer Singh appears to have pushed his limits once again with his latest performance in Dhurandhar: The Revenge, and those close to him are shedding light on the effort behind it. In a recent conversation on MensXP, his business partner and SuperYou co-founder Nikunj Biyani recalled how the actor described the role as more demanding than any of his past performances.
Biyani revealed that during a casual discussion, Ranveer admitted that portraying Hamza required him to go much deeper as an artist. According to him, the actor felt the role demanded far more emotional and physical investment, pushing him to give beyond his usual intensity. The comparison naturally drew attention to his widely celebrated portrayal of Alauddin Khilji in Padmaavat, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
Sharing his own viewing experience, Biyani described being completely absorbed while watching the sequel, stating that the performance kept him glued to his seat. He noted that while the first installment was engaging, the second part elevated the storytelling and Ranveer’s screen presence to another level.
Ranveer’s transformation for Khilji had earlier made headlines when he revealed isolating himself for weeks to fully inhabit the character. That performance went on to receive widespread acclaim and contributed to the film’s massive box office success.
With Dhurandhar: The Revenge, the actor seems to have raised the bar yet again, reinforcing his reputation for taking on physically and emotionally demanding roles that leave a lasting impact on audiences.
