Arjun Kapoor, currently receiving acclaim for his negative role in Singham Again, recently shared insights about Salman Khan during a podcast with Raj Shamani. Reflecting on his early days in Bollywood, Kapoor, who worked behind the scenes on Salman’s Wanted before making his acting debut, dismissed perceptions of Salman being a bully. Instead, he described the superstar as warm and fearless.
“When you are not always openly warm in the first second, people feel like he’s being a certain way,” Arjun explained, adding that Salman’s warmth might not be immediately apparent but is deeply genuine. He also praised Salman’s unique approach to cinema, stating, “He views it as an audience’s medium, with the sole aim of entertaining people.”
Kapoor credited Salman for motivating him to lose weight and pursue acting. At 150 kg, Arjun aspired to be a filmmaker, but Salman encouraged him to focus on fitness and consider acting. “He saw the actor in me when I didn’t,” Arjun shared.
The Singham Again actor also lauded Salman’s fearless nature, calling him the most daring individual he has encountered. “He never avoids challenges or duties,” Arjun remarked, emphasizing Salman’s unwavering consistency as a person.
Singham Again, directed by Rohit Shetty and released during Diwali 2024, features a star-studded cast including Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, and Ranveer Singh. Kapoor’s standout performance in the Cop Universe film has added another feather to his cap.
