Arjun Rampal marks his first ‘quit smoking’ anniversary, this World No Smoking day

Arjun Rampal shared his one year of ‘no smoking’ journey with fans.

Arjun Rampal completed one year of  ‘no smoking’.

On the occasion of the ‘World No Tabacco day’, Rampal stated how it was the most difficult thing to do as he would get “cranky, irritated, and short-tempered, and it’s not something one can conquer easily.”

Arjun Rampal started smoking when he was at boarding school. Remembering those times he adds, “I used to be an athlete. I got hurt doing some hurdles, while training for races, and couldn’t strive. I was completely disturbed and saw my friends smoking, and for the joy of it, I also attempted. I couldn’t do it, so my pals taught me how to inhale and take a puff. I smoked one and got this head rush for the first time; it felt absolutely good.”

Rampal further confessed how it went ‘one puff’ to smoking daily and then to the point where he ended up smoking per pack a day.Being a chainsmoker was disgusting.

For him sitting around his baby boy, Arik helped him and motivated him towards quitting cigarette. He says, “During the pandemic when I was sitting with Arik, I had a sudden thought that I am messing with my organs and playing with my health I know the capability I have for outputs is far incredible than what it is today, how can I be so irresponsible to go and pick up a baby while stinking like tobacco. It stays on your hands, hair and fingers too.” Rampal added.
