Two incredible achievements are about to make Ayodhya’s Deepotsav celebration a part of the Guinness World Records. A 1,100-person Saryu Aarti and the main lamp-lighting event will be two record attempts at this year’s festival, the first since the Lord Ram Temple was built.
Shashikant Das, the coordinator of Saryu Aarti, stated: “This is the eighth Deepotsav overall, but it is the first following Lord Ram’s coronation in his home. This evening’s lighting of 25 lakh diyas will go down in the Guinness Book of World Records.” On Deepotsav, Lord Ram’s city is lavishly decked. Additionally, more than 200 temples and monasteries will light lamps.
In order to symbolise Lord Ram’s homecoming to Ayodhya, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath led the festivities by dragging a chariot with performers dressed as Lord Ram, Sita, and Lakshman. During the festivities, Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat was joined by Deputy Chief Ministers Brajesh Pathak and Keshav Prasad Maurya. Artists portraying Lord Ram, Lakshman, and Sita were showered with flowers from a helicopter.
To the music of firecrackers and gulal explosions, a procession that travelled leisurely from Saket Mahavidyalaya to Ram Katha Park had eighteen tableaux that depicted scenes from the Ramcharitmanas, according to PTI.Additionally, Read | Defence chiefs and Rajnath Singh will celebrate Diwali with soldiers in forward regions At the ninth Deepotsav, Chief Minister Adityanath claimed that Ayodhya’s metamorphosis was evidence of the “double-engine government delivering on its promise”—a reference to the BJP government at the state and federal levels. Additionally, he stated that the event is historic since “Lord Ram is now in his abode in Ayodhya for Diwali after 500 years.” “This is only the beginning, and the beginning must logically lead to the end.
Additionally, Adityanath stated that today was a time to honour all the individuals who have devoted their life to the Ram Janmabhoomi cause. “I bow to all those saints on this occasion, and to the martyrs”, roughly 3,50,000 in number,” who laid down their lives with one wish as they left this world: that, no matter the cost, even at the price of their sacrifice, a temple for Lord Ram must be built on the soil of Ayodhya,” said Adityanath.
