
Shubman Gill has achieved yet another historic milestone, becoming the fastest Indian batter to score eight ODI centuries, surpassing legends like Sachin Tendulkar, Virat Kohli, Gautam Gambhir, and Shikhar Dhawan. Gill reached this feat in just 51 innings, breaking the previous record held by Shikhar Dhawan, who took 57 innings.
Gill’s record-breaking century against Bangladesh
Gill’s latest ton came in India’s Champions Trophy 2025 opener against Bangladesh, where he played a composed knock of 101 off 129 balls*, guiding India to a six-wicket victory in Dubai. His innings was a mix of patience and aggression, ensuring India chased down the target of 229 with ease.
With this hundred, Gill has now scored three ODI centuries against Bangladesh, further underlining his dominance over the opposition.
