Chand Mera Dil starts slow at the box office, collects Rs 2.75 crore on opening day

Chand Mera Dil made about Rs. 2.75 crore nett on its first day at the Indian box office. It appeared that the movie might be worth between Rs. 3.50 and Rs. 4 crore based on the early start and advance bookings. Nevertheless, the picture ultimately failed to even surpass Rs. 3 crore due to the poor activity throughout the day. While exceeding Rs. 3 crore wouldn’t have changed anything, exceeding Rs. 4 crore would have presented a challenge.

The movie falls under the “pain in love story” category, which produced a few unexpected hits last year, such as the popular Saiyaara. The superhit soundtrack from such movies was what made them successful. On the first day, the movie’s ticket prices were lowered. Since some of the weekend audience may have left on Friday, this could result in subdued growth throughout the weekend. As mentioned previously, the advancements of today are not much better.

As a result, the film’s low opening is a significant setback in and of itself, and if it doesn’t grow significantly over the weekend, its fate may be decided rather quickly. One of the leading companies in the Hindi film business, Dharma Productions, is still facing difficulties. It has been a while since the banner delivered an HIT. Three years ago, there was a Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani, yet even that was successful because of a BLOCKBUSTER performance abroad and an AVERAGE local performance.

There was anticipation that this may finally be the movie given how the movies in this genre performed last year, but it hasn’t panned out.
