Comedy film ‘Mother of the Bride’ to release soon on Netflix

The upcoming romantic comedy film ‘Mother of the Bride’ was written and directed by Robin Bernheim and Mark Waters. The protagonist of the tale is a woman who is having a hard time adjusting to the news that her daughter is marrying the son of a guy who crushed her heart years ago.

It appears from the trailer that this will be an enjoyable romantic comedy with a lot of drama, tension, and emotion mixed in. Additionally, the teaser serves as a reminder to viewers that the same director behind Mean Girls, Freaky Friday, and He’s All That is behind this movie. Fans should so anticipate a tone and aesthetic akin to those films. Mother of the Bride centres on Lana, a mother who is first thrilled and in disbelief that her daughter Emma is getting married. But when Lana finds out that her daughter’s fiancé is the son of the guy who destroyed her heart years prior, she quickly finds herself in a difficult predicament.

Lana will have to deal with Emma’s marriage to her former boyfriend’s son, as hinted at in the teaser. On Janice’s advice, though, Lana also makes an effort to rekindle her romance with her former boyfriend and make him regret breaking her heart all those years ago.
