The third installment of Drishyam, the most successful franchise in Malayalam film, will be released this weekend. The Mohanlal film demonstrated its incredible audience buzz and hype by smashing a huge advance booking at the global box office.
Drishyam 3 is currently on track to reach the Rs. 27 crore mark for its opening weekend, having already surpassed the Rs. 25 crore advance sales mark at the global box office. Only the opening day accounts for about Rs. 18–19 crore of these enormous pre-sales. Pre-sales for Kerala’s opening day have already surpassed Rs. 6 crore.
Strong momentum in advance bookings is anticipated with one and a half days remaining before the release. Before the premiere, the Mohanlal film hopes to make at least Rs. 35 crore in advance reservations. Only L2: Empuraan will have a larger pre-sale than that for a Malayalam movie theater.
Meena, Siddique, Asha Sharath, Murali Gopy, Ansiba Hassan, and Esther Anil return to their roles, and Mohanlal plays Georgekutty once more as the story unfolds. Veena Nandakumar also joins the cast in a new role as a journalist who is committed to learning the case’s truth.
Drishyam 3 is produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the Aashirvad Cinemas banner and is written and directed by Jeethu Joseph. Anil Johnson wrote the music and background soundtrack for the movie, while Satheesh Kurup and Vinayak VS handled the editing and photography, respectively. On May 21, 2026, the film will be released in Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.
