David Warner reunites with his family after a long gap owing to COVID-19 regulations

Warner had to spend 14 days in quarantine in Sydney after returning from the Maldives.

After completing the necessary quarantine in Sydney, Australian cricketer David Warner has reunited with his family. He was in India for the Indian Premier League (IPL 2021), but it was suspended because to COVID-19.

While other international cricketers went home from India, Australian players and staff personnel participating in the IPL 2021 were scheduled to travel to the Maldives due to an Indian travel ban in their nation. Warner stayed for a few days before heading for Australia.

Warner was counting down the days before he could finally see his family after a lengthy estrangement. Candice, his wife, documented the touching moment on her Instagram account.

After meeting with his daughter and wife, the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) batsman can be seen grinning. Candice captioned the video, “Welcome home Daddy! @DavidWarner31,” as her three girls greeted dad home.

Meanwhile, David Warner had a bad run in the IPL 2021. Warner, who captained the team to victory in 2016, has been their leading run-scorer in recent seasons. From 2013 through 2020, the southpaw scored 410, 528, 562, 848, 641, 692, and 541 runs, except 2018 when he was suspended for the whole season. He has, however, been far from his typical self.

The combination of his failures with the bat and as a leader may have prompted management to relieve him of leadership duties and select Kane Williamson as captain midway through the season. Sunrisers Hyderabad are in eighth place, having won only one of their previous seven matches before the competition was postponed due to the COVID-19 issue.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has confirmed that the IPL 2021 would return to the UAE in September-October. Hyderabad would consider Warner’s comeback because the Australian cricketer is unlikely to go to the UAE due to international obligations.
