Star couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh are reportedly expecting their first child. Deepika is reportedly in her second trimester, as per a source of The Week. This report claims that because Deepika reportedly covered up her belly during the 77th BAFTA red carpet, there were rumours that she could be pregnant. For the event, the actress donned a shimmering saree and specially designed jewellery by Sabyasachi Mukherjee.
After dating for six years, Deepika and Ranveer Singh got married on November 14, 2018, in Lake Como in Italy. They first met during the set of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s romantic movie Goliyon Ki Rasleela Ram-Leela. Later on, they appeared in Padmaavat and Bajirao Mastani as well. Ranveer and Deepika celebrated their fifth wedding anniversary in Belgium in November of last year.
In the meantime, on the professional front, Deepika is all set to feature in the sci-fi action thriller Kalki 2898 AD, which also stars Prabhas. The film, directed by Nag Ashwin and starring Amitabh Bachchan, will arrive in theatres on May 9, 2024.
On the other hand, Ranveer will reprise his role as Simmba in Rohit Shetty’s cop drama Singham Again. Deepika, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, Arjun Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor also appear in the film. Ranveer will also star in Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3, which will be released in 2025.
