Dinesh Karthik lauds Rishabh Pant, says “They fear him a lot because he could change the game in a session”

A few months back, Rishabh Pant was heavily criticised for his glovework but after India’s epic tour of Australia, Pant improved in both departments (batting and wicket-keeping). He has replaced Wriddhiman Saha, as the former mainstay wicketkeeper lost his place due to an unfruitful return with the bat. Not only for that reason but also Pant is slowly becoming an abled leader. During the first half of IPL, the young talent Rishabh led Delhi Capitals to the top of the table with six wins from eight matches.

Pant continues to earn a lot of praises from the cricket fraternity for his recent exploits. On the other hand, Dinesh Karthik, who is currently in the UK for a commentary stint along with Sunil Gavaskar, will call the World Test Championship (WTC) final. While observing Pant’s growth, Karthik said that international teams fear him a lot because he can turn the table in a session.

Dinesh said that Rishab Pant is a great case of what confidence can do to players. The fact that Pant had done so well in the IPL and for India A and the people can observe the confidence coming off every time he plays for the country. It’s just Pant had come a long way with his batting and had contributed so much that made Saha sit on the bench.
