Monday, May 17: English cricketer Jofra Archer won’t be playing two matches series against New Zealand starting next month due to his elbow injury. Archer returned after playing for Sussex in the County Championship against Kent at Hove. And he bowled only five overs in Kent’s second innings.

After the match, he was suffering from pain in his right elbow when bowling and was impotent to bowl in the final two days of the match.

In a political statement, the ECB said, “The England and Sussex medical teams will now seek guidance, and Archer will see a medical consultant later in the week to work out a subsequent course of action on the management of his elbow.”

He has played two Tests and one-fifth T20Is matches against India, then he was ruled out from the ODI series and consequently from the half of the IPL.
