Fanaa turns 15: Netizens urge Aamir Khan and Kajol to come together again for a romantic thriller

Fanaa, starring Aamir Khan and Kajol, has retained a special place in the hearts of fans, since its release 15 years ago.

It has been 15 years since the release of the Aamir Khan and Kajol starrer film Fanaa. The film was released on May 26, 2006. Regarding Kajol’s work in a film, Aamir Khan said that she did not expect that she would work in this film. At the same time, he also felt that working with Kajol would be difficult.

When we consider the movie, we immediately recall their chemistry, which was fantastically supported by the music, composed by Salim-Suleiman. As the movie, which launched in 2006, completes 15 years in the present day.

The 2006 film also starred the late Rishi Kapoor, Tabu, Kirron Kher, and Sharat Saxena in supporting roles. While Aamir portrayed the role of a terrorist, Kajol played his sight-impaired lover from Kashmir. The film turned out to be a blockbuster. Child actor Ali Haji had played the role of Kajol and Aamir’s son in the film.

Aamir and Kajol had unhealthy first impressions of one another. Aamir questioned Kajol about her first impression of him. “I didn’t have an impression. The only impression I wanted to make was my fingers prints on your neck. Beyond that, I thought and I still do think that you are completely and a little too much into your job. Despite that, you are not such a bad guy,” joked Kajol. Aamir, quite the opposite, felt that Kajol is a “brat” and can be troublesome to take care of. “My impression of you was pathetic, to begin with. I kind of felt that you are a brat and difficult to deal with. After doing Fanaa, it has changed. It was a pleasure to work with you, which is very rare,” the actor mentioned.

It was Aamir who had referred Kajol’s name for the role of Zooni in Fanaa. Kajol was subsequently offered Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna. Kajol and Karan being best buddies, Kunal was not sure whether she will agree to do Fanaa. Karan Johar was casting her for KANK Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna at that time, and since Kajol and he were thick friends, Aditya Chopra and I thought she would work in that film. But when we approached her, she gave her nod at the first narration,” he mentioned.
