Here’s everything you need to know about the documentary “Frida”.


Frida Kahlo was born in 1907, which was three years before the Mexican Revolution. Her mother was Spanish, her father was German. Her entire life, she had been affected by polio. She was inspired by her father, a gifted photographer. After she wed her lover Diego Rivera in 1929, she started donning traditional Tehuana clothing.

Her typical long skirt, a lovely floral headdress, a flowy blouse layered with an abundance of gold jewellery, and a long skirt completed the ensemble. Later, Frida’s husband Diego had adulterous affairs, one of which involved her sister. It was one of the most shocking times in her life.


In addition to Frida Kahlo, Fernanda Echevarría del Rivero is part of the cast. Fernanda Echevarria narrates the passages from Kahlo’s writing. Carla Gutierrez directed the movie, and she and David Teague edited it.

Music Composer

The soundtrack for Gutierrez’s series was composed by Victor Hernández and Stumpfhauser, and it lasts for 87 minutes.
