Harmanpreet Kaur says that Ramesh Powar is very ambitious and will help in providing push to team

As the head coach of the Indian women’s cricket team, Ramesh Powar is at his first assignment as the Indian team takes on England in a multi-format series in the UK. Women’s team T20I skipper Harmanpreet Kaur has faith that Powar is very ambitious and will help in giving the required push to achieve more success on the International stage.

Harmanpreet Kaur said, “Ramesh sir gets involved in the team at all times and makes an effort to understand the players’ strengths, weaknesses, fears, etc, and tries to work on them. He can help the team to get the required push as a very experienced person”. Indian women’s team will take on England in a one-off Test, three ODIs, and three T20Is. Both the teams will first play a four-day Test match which is beginning on June 16. Later on, the Indian team will face Australia in Sept-Oct in a multi-format series, including one day-night test.

Harmanpreet also said that playing against the top-ranked teams before the big challenge has always helped the team to build a positive approach. Taking on England in a multi-format tournament will be very helpful and all the team members will have enough time to perform to get better by the time the team steps in for the World Cup.
