Trent Boult, New Zealand’s left-arm fast bowler is looking forward to playing a crucial role for the Kiwis against the English side in the second and the final Test match of the series at Edgbaston, which is going to start on June 10th, I.E today.
Boult, who missed the first match of the series is all set to play for the Kiwis in the second and the final Test ahead of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) Final which is set to begin on the 18th of this month.
Speaking to Sky Sports ahead of the game, a fresh-looking Trent Boult looked forward to racking up some good pace against the English batters and getting back into rhythm and opined “Obviously, it’s nice to get out here and finally join the camp and hopefully play a big role in the next couple of days.”
Earlier, Gary Stead, the head coach for the New Zealand cricket side had stated that Trent Boult might miss both Tests against England, having opted to return home after IPL 2021 was postponed instead of heading straight to England.

When asked about this, the left-arm pacer replied “I arrived as planned but the isolation period here was a lot shorter than a lot of us expected. I’m so obviously grateful to get out of it a little bit earlier and move around. Yeah, so excited and fully fit and very happy to be out there.
Currently, the second game of the test series has begun and England who won the toss is batting at 67 no-loss for Lunch, day 1.
