IND vs SL 2021: Yuzvendra Chahal and Krishnappa Gowtham tested positive for COVID-19

Team India’s spinners Yuzvendra Chahal and Krishnappa Gowtham have been found infected by the virus.

The ODI and T20 series between India and Sri Lanka is over. Meanwhile, the news has come that two more players of Team India have tested Corona positive. Team India’s spinners Yuzvendra Chahal and Krishnappa Gowtham have been found infected by the virus. Earlier there was news of Krunal Pandya getting infected.

All of these players who have come into close contact with Krunal Pandya will remain in isolation along with Yuzvendra Chahal and Krishnappa Gowtham. The rest of the Indian cricket team has left Sri Lanka after playing a six-match limited-overs series.

Krunal Pandya along with the other eight players of the Indian team could not play the last two T20s due to isolation protocol and India lost that series by 1-2.

Sri Lanka Cricket team defeated Team India by 7 wickets in the third and last T20 match played in Colombo on Thursday. With this, the host team won the series by 2-1. India had earlier defeated the hosts by 2-1 in the three-match ODI series. India won the first T20I match by 38 runs to take a 1-0 lead but the hosts leveled the series by winning the second match by four wickets.

Team India in the final T20I match scored a total of 81 runs, which was the third-lowest score in its history in T20I. India scored 74 runs in the T20 match against Australia in Melbourne in 2008, which is its lowest score in T20. Earlier, Team India was all out for 79 runs in the match played against New Zealand in Nagpur in 2016, which is the second-lowest score in its history. Apart from this, Indian was all out for 92 runs in the T20 match played against South Africa in Cuttack in 2015.
