Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana takes 1st jab of the COVID-19 vaccine, urges everybody to get vaccinated.

On Tuesday, May 11, Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana took the 1st jab of the COVID-19 vaccine. She also urges everybody to get vaccinated in this harsh hour of the pandemic.

Along with the photo of taking the vaccine, she captioned on Instagram, “1st dose. Please stay safe and obtain yourself.” The Indian batter urged everyone to take the COVID-19 vaccine as quickly as possible.

Mandhana will next be seen in India’s upcoming tour of England. India Women are set to compete against England Women in one-off Test, 3 ODIs, and 3 T20Is.

She got an opportunity to lead the Indian women’s cricket team in the home T20I series against South Africa Women after winning the 2020 Women’s T20 Challenge in the United Arab Emirates.

Mandhana made a 50 on Test debut, playing a crucial hand in India’s historic Test win in England in 2014. She became the first-ever cricketer to hit 10 consecutive fifty-plus scores in ODI cricket while chasing. She has also scored 50+ runs in every ODI chase starting from 2018.
