India’s Got Latent Controversy: Maharashtra Cyber Cell Asked Ranveer Allahabadia to Appear on Feb 24

As per ANI, the Maharashtra Cyber Court asked Ranveer Allahbadia, aka BeerBiceps to appear before it on February 24.

After Ranveer Allahbadia caused a huge stir with his crude comments about parents and sex on stand-up comedian Samay Raina’s web program “India’s Got Latent,” the agency is looking into the case that was filed against him and others. Additionally, the agency turned down Samay Raina’s request to use videoconferencing to digitally record his statement regarding the controversy.

The request was submitted by the stand-up comedian, who stated that he would not be able to return to India until the following month because he is now in the United States. However, Raina’s request was turned down by the Maharashtra cyber cell, which instructed him to make his statement in person by February 18.

Ranveer Allahbadia expressed regret for his contentious statement once more on Saturday, but he also said that he and his family are afraid after getting death threats. He added that the police and all other agencies are working with him and his team.

He shared on his social media, “I will follow due process and be available to all agencies. My remark about parents was insensitive and disrespectful. It is my moral responsibility to do better and I am genuinely sorry.”

“I’m watching death threats pour in from people saying that they want to kill me and hurt my family. People have invaded my mother’s clinic posing as patients. I’m feeling scared and I don’t know what to do. But I’m not running away. I have full faith in the police and the judicial system of India,” he wrote.

After the Mumbai and Assam police teams visited Allahbadia’s home in Mumbai and discovered it locked, he made his testimony. Additionally, officials reported that when they attempted to contact him, his phone was off.
