YouTube personality Ranveer Allahbadia was called by the Mumbai police to participate in the investigation and record his statement in the vulgar remark case, and he did so on Monday with the Maharashtra Cyber Cell in India’s Got Latent remark row.
At comedian Samay Raina’s YouTube show, Ranveer Allahbadia’s comment to “join parents in sex” caused a huge uproar. Members of Parliament also brought up the issue, calling for a revision to the laws governing online content. For his comment, Ranveer Allahbadia has expressed regret.
But the argument got heated. In a previous post on X, Samay Raina, who is currently overseas, claimed to have removed every episode of India’s Got Latent from his YouTube channel. Ranveer Allahbadia received harsh criticism from the Supreme Court last week for his offensive remarks on the show, stating that such behaviour had to be denounced.
“Such conduct must be denounced. You cannot take society for granted just because you are well-liked. Would anyone on the planet be interested in this language? Something exceedingly filthy has been spat out of his mind. According to Bar and Bench, the court stated, “Why should we protect him?”
According to Justice Surya Kant, the comments demonstrated “the perverted mind.” “Your chosen remarks will make your parents and sisters feel embarrassed. Society as a whole will be embarrassed. the twisted brain. What perversion you and your goons have displayed! Our legal system is subject to the rule of law.”
Live Law cited him as saying, “The law will take its course if there are threats (against Allahbadia).” However, the court granted him protection from being arrested. It also instructed him to turn in his passport and to avoid going overseas without its approval.
