IPL 2021: Bairstow’s fifty helps Sunrisers Hyderabad win

Jhonny Bairstow continued his good form against PBKS on Wednesday afternoon. He registered his slowest T20 fifty to chase down the mere total of 121 in what was another rank turner produced at Chepauk. After getting good starts in all the previous matches Bairstow made sure that he stood there to see SRH home as their troublesome middle order failed to do that in the previous three-game after getting to winning positions from the starts given by Warner and Bairstow.

Jhonny stuck with Warner and gave SRH a match-winning opening partnership of 73 in the first 10 overs chasing the small total of 121. After Warner fell for 37 off 37 balls Bairstow partnered with Kane Williamson and kept the run rate ticking.

He eventually went on to make his slowest T20 fifty in his career in 48 balls, once he reached his fifty and the target was reduced to 13 off 15 balls. He showed some hurry and finished the match with 8 balls to spare. In his innings of 63 from 56 balls, he managed to hit three fours and three humongous sixes.
