IPL 2021: Glenn Maxwell hits first six after 1079 days

The cash rich league has started with RCB facing MI in the first match of IPL 2021. Mumbai scored 159 runs in their stipulated 20 over. Chris Lynn is the highest scorer for Mumbai, scoring 49 runs of 35 balls. Harshal Patel took 5 wickets and have dismissed the most dangerous middle order of the tournament, and Maxwell hit his first six after 2 seasons.

Glenn Maxwell has hit his first six in IPL in 171 balls across 19 innings – his last six was off Mitchell Johnson in Delhi on 27 April 2018, 1079 days ago. Virat and Sundar started off the 2nd innings with a bang and scored 45 runs in the power play with the loss of 2 wickets. Since then Maxwell and virat took over the reigns and both the batsman has been in fine tune.  Bumrah dismissed his Indian team captain  Virat Kohli in his second over of the match. Virat scored 33 runs of 29 balls. As of now RCB has scored 101 runs with the loss of 3 wickets with Maxwell and Ab de Villiers in the middle.
