For nearly 15 years, Kumar Sangakkara, an elegant stroke player, dependable keeper, and astute thinker, was the cornerstone of Sri Lankan cricket.
Kumar Sangakkara was appointed as the new director of cricket at Rajasthan Royals The former Sri Lanka captain played for KXIP in the first three seasons of the IPL between 2008 and 2010 before shifting to Deccan Chargers (2011-12). Sangakkara even led KXIP in his final season with the franchise, winning just 3 while losing 9 games with 1 tie in 2010. Sangakkara ended his IPL career with Sunrisers Hyderabad with 2013 being his final year of participation.
In a recent post by Rajasthan Royals, we can see Sangakkara bowl, to everyone’s astonishment.

The comment section was not tired of pointing out that it was a no-ball. No-ball or not, everyone enjoyed watching Sangakkara back in action.
Even though Rajasthan Royals sit 7th on the IPL table, let’s hope Sangakkara can help them work towards the play-offs.
