Ahead of the MI vs RCB the first match of IPL 2021, Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli is confident about his batting position at the top and how it will be beneficial to the squad.
After the last series when he opened for the Indian team and played a knock of 80 runs in 52 balls against England in the last T20l, he said he will be starting for the RCB squad as well.
“I talked to Mike and Simon last season and told them about my decision to play as an opener in the upcoming season, i got the chance to do that just before the season in the last game against England and luckily I scored good and that gave me a lot of confidence to play in this role, Says Virat Kohli.
“That experience was very important heading into this season, knowing that I’m sorted out with my game at the top of the batting order and then now create that balance in the team. My batting and those things are taken care of, Kohli said in the video by the official Twitter handle of RCB.
